STORY

Raised by a structural engineer, Matthew Fung took a fond interest in architectural drawings early on. In high school, he was offered a summer position at a prestigious architectural firm in Toronto; the experience cemented his decision to pursue a career in architecture. He went on to study architectural sciences at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, graduating with honours in 2006. During the global financial crisis of 2007–2008, he decided to delay his master’s studies and continue to work with prominent architects, honing his expertise, gaining experience, and developing his craft.

In 2012, Matthew founded Project 708, a firm specializing in 3D modeling and 3D visualizations. Over the years, the firm evolved into a full-service, multidisciplinary architecture and interior design firm that collaborates on projects with distinguished architects and provides architectural consultation and building permit services to clients, homeowners, designers, and builders.

Matthew later received his Master of Architecture degree in 2021 from Carlton University.  Serving his community and helping homeowners has given Matthew great joy.
